Set within a wooded landscape, this Prairie Style home uses strong horizontal lines and natural materials to establish a close relationship with its site. A rock-faced stone base visually grounds the residence, while natural-stained cedar siding, smooth-cut limestone, and low-sloped roof forms soften its presence among the trees. Low masonry walls extend the architecture into the landscape, defining a series of distinct outdoor spaces. Inside, an open floor plan preserves long views and abundant natural light, while exterior stone, mahogany, and colors drawn from the surrounding terraces create continuity between the home’s interior and exterior.
